Baseball Card Exchange Reopening Plan “Phase 1“
As things are slowly trying to return to normal around the country, we at BBCE would also like to come up with a re-opening plan. First and foremost, we all need to understand that following the basic guidelines are of the utmost importance in maintaining the safety and well-being of our customers and our employees. Just in case you’ve heard it less than 1000 times, please do the following; adhere to social distancing guidelines (at least six feet apart from other people, eight or more is even better!), keep your hands, fingers and toes away from your face and wash your hands often (for at least 20 seconds). Starting next week, we will initiate “Phase 1” of our re-opening plan. We will start with “Curbside Delivery.” On Tuesday (May 12th) from 11am-4pm, Thursday (May 14th) from 3pm-7pm and Saturday (May 16th) from 11am-4pm, you will be able to pick up an order via curbside delivery. We will continue these days/hours until further notice. You may place an order online through our website (www.bbce.com) or we will have a list of current products available through a link on the website (we will have details on that link soon). If you place an order through the website, please leave a note in the comments section stating “curbside delivery” and which day you will pick it up. We will remove the shipping charges when we fulfill the order, so you will only be charged for the product and the tax. As stated above, we will also have a link on our website with the newer products available in the store, see below for the up to date inventory. For these items you will need to call in at (219) 515-6907 and place the order. Phone orders may be placed Monday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. You can also order supplies or price guides at that time. You can also order website items over the phone as well. You will need to pay with a credit card or PayPal when you place the order. We will not be accepting any payment on site (to include cash). Then, once you arrive at the store, give us a call and we will bring your order out to you. And now for some of the necessary rules. During Phase 1; we will not be accepting any payments in person, only employees are permitted in the store/warehouse (sorry, no exceptions), and single cards are not available. Due to our reduced staffing, curbside delivery will only take place during the above listed hours (sorry, no exceptions). If anyone has items for sale, that must be pre-arranged prior to your visit. You may drop off authentication as long as it is pre-arranged. No onsite authentication will be done during Phase 1. We ask that you please do not gather in the parking lot. We understand that Indiana has loosened their requirements but being just a stone’s throw from Illinois, we would like to meet somewhere in the middle in regards to the restrictions. Hopefully this will go smoothly and we can continue operating in this manner until “Phase 2.” We do not have a timeline or details for Phase 2 yet. Most importantly, everyone please be safe.
